Large-scale Russian Attacks Cut Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
