The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their separate journey, separate from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might appear unsuited, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a intense initial meeting with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them few options but to journey toward Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Fans can anticipate learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
